Health & Safety

My name is Pete Reynolds; I am based in Lincoln where I live with my long term partner, Cheryl and her daughter Jo. My background in Health & Safety started at Severn Trent Water in 2001 when I took over Health & Safety issues for Carsington Water Ranger Service at a busy Visitor Centre at a 1200 acre reservoir site, working on all aspects of Health & Safety including;- COSHH Assessments , Risk Assessments, Safe systems of work and Operating procedures, Confined Spaces and Manual Handling. I played a prominent part in winning a RoSPA silver award in 2003, and then a Gold award the following year in the occupational safety awards category, and was a winner of Severn Trent Waters’ safety awards in February 2005 (best trade union safety representative). I attained my IOSH Managing Safely in May of the same year.

Environmental
Over the last 3 years I have been studying through the Open University and attained my Diploma in Pollution Control in December 2005.

Food hygiene
I attained my advanced certificate in Food Hygiene (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) in November 2005.

Teaching Qualifications
I attained my professional trainer Certificate (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) in March 2004

I am registered with both the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and The Royal Institute of Public Health to train Health & Safety, Basic Food Hygiene and Environmental Awareness courses.
